Minecraft Social Skills Group (virtual)
Six-week sessions to take place over Zoom and Minecraft-capable device. Groups will work with a Behavior Specialist on one specific skill per session and then apply those skills in a secure Minecraft Realm.

What Will My Child Learn?
Scroll through for some examples of Lessons that will take place over the 6 week session. The topics will be based on specific behavior management and social skills and conversation is tailored to individual group needs.
In addition to specific skills, every week will focus on reciprocal social conversation, online safety skills, and effective communication.

Group Requirements
Groups are formed based on the skills and needs of the child. If an appropriate group is not available, we will discuss options.
Current clients have been screened and if they are familiar with the background skills, they may start right away!
New clients are required to participate in a minimum of 2 individual social skills lessons to determine group fit and pre-teach skills.

Age and Functional Level
The group is currently for children ages 6 to 11.
Children must have some verbal communication and a strong comfort level playing Minecraft independently.
If you have concerns about your child functioning with the virtual setting, individual pre-teaching sessions may be appropriate.

Cost/Details
Current clients:
$150 per 6 week group session
New clients:
$300 for 2 individual sessions
and 6 week group session combined
Note: it is extremely helpful to practice the skills during the week at home. Every week, parents will get an email with "homework" related to that week's skill.
Technical Details:
You must have access to Zoom on a separate device than the one being used for Minecraft.
All groups take place on Zoom which is our method of communication during the group time.
You must have access to a device with Minecraft (Bedrock edition)
You or your child will need an Xbox gamertag.
If you are playing on Xbox, Playstation or Switch, you will need an online subscription.
